What is SSH?

SSH (Secure Shell) is a secure method for signing into a server remotely and giving the server commands or transferring files. SSH makes it extremely easy to manage a server without having to be at the physical server itself. However, access to SSH is closely guarded and is never available on shared and most reseller servers. SSH is most commonly available with dedicated servers, in the realm of web hosting.
